About

A Little Bio…

I’ve been fascinated with health and fitness since I was a little girl growing up in Virginia. I started working out when I was 11 years old because my older brother got a Solo Flex. It was the first time I ever lifted. I was totally fascinated from that day on with resistance training. I grew up playing soccer and tennis and running around with my friends like most kids my age.

I got married when I was 18 and had my first daughter when I was 20. When I was 25 I entered my first Figure Competition and hated it! I realized that this was because I didn’t understand the process and why I was doing what I was doing. It was then that I decided to educate myself on proper diet and exercise. My second daughter came when I was 27. I continued to work out throughout both pregnancies and worked full time.

When I was 35 I started to compete again and enjoyed the experience enough to do five shows in one year! I finished 1st in a show in New Jersey and qualified for my pro card with the United States Bodybuilding Federation (USBF). The following year I competed in two more shows while going through a difficult divorce. I have since taken a break from competing but haven’t hung up my suit for good.

Health and fitness have been and will always be my passion and at the core of who I am. I am 40 now and intend to be healthy and fit throughout my life. It’s my hope to share the fitness and nutrition wisdom I have acquired and thrived with over the years through this website.

I had always been active in high school through participating in sports such as gymnastics and cheerleading. My senior year of high school I became pregnant with my son….

Then in 2012, I was at work one day and the Physician I worked for at the time had called me into her office and politely explained to me how she had noticed my eating habits over the last few years and the fact that she was noticing I had put on a lot of weight. I was shocked.

Life, Food and Fitness can be a struggle to balance at times since most of us are working moms and wives, it can be hard.
