Ghee…

In Coffee

“Ghee” is a type of clarified butter, meaning the milk solids and fat are separated by melting regular butter. FUN FACT: It is traditionally used in Asian cooking.

I add about a tablespoon to my coffee(s) in the morning. It gives it a nice buttery and well-rounded flavor! I usually consume Ghee this way, however the process of making it allows for a high smoke point, making it great for high heat cooking and baking.

The Benefits:

  1. Helps Curb Cravings
  2. High in Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) which has an extensive list of benefits ranging from anti-inflammatory to lowering blood pressure.
  3. If You Have Lactose Issues, This May Be Your Alternative
  4.  Contains Butyric Acid Which Is Great For Digestive Health because it promotes a healthy gut microbiome
  5. High in fat-soluble vitamins A, E, and K
  6. A Met-analysis of 13 randomized controlled studies found that, when compared to Long-Chain Triglycerides, Medium-Chain Triglycerides found in Ghee Aid In Weight Loss | Study on PubMed
